This website (“Site”) is operated by WITGW HOUSE SRL, a company registered in Romania under registration number J20/40/2023, with registered office at D4B Cuza Vodă, Door 1, Deva, Romania (“WHAT IF THINGS GO WELL / WHAT IF / WITGW House”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This privacy policy ('Privacy Policy') applies to personal data that we collect from you as a user of this Site or as a membership applicant, member or customer ('you' or 'your' being interpreted accordingly). It provides information on what personal data we collect, why we collect the personal data, how it is used and the lawful basis on which your personal data is processed, and what your rights are under the applicable data protection and privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation ('GDPR') which became applicable to us, and you, as of 25 May 2018.

'Personal data' as used in this Privacy Policy means any information that relates to you from which you can be identified.

By using our Site or submitting your personal data you are taken to accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, so please read it carefully.

 

3. The personal data collect

We collect the following personal data about you:

 

a) Membership application

The personal details you provide when submitting a membership application and when you register through the Site. This includes your name, address, email address; business address and phone number; gender and date of birth; a picture of yourself; instagram profile ; LinkedIn profile; information about your work and other information that you elect to provide to support your application and other information that you elect to disclose in your user profile on the Site. 

 

b) Event Information

We collect details about WITGW HOUSE events, attendance, and ticketing for ticket purchase and event attendance purposes.  

c) Payment Information

Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers (e.g. Stripe)

We do not store full card details or CVV codes

d) Other Information

Personal details provided during correspondence, surveys, or visits to WITGW HOUSE premises, combined with data from third-party services for reservation purposes.  

 

4. How We Use Your Personal Data:  

Membership application processing;

Provision of membership services;

Reservation and stay fulfillment;

Ticket purchase completion;

User/customer/member survey communication;

Personalized content delivery;

Communication about your visit and service changes;

Notification of changes, user support, and term enforcement;

Marketing communications (only with consent);

Detection of abuse, fraud, and illegal activity. 

 

5. Disclosure of Your Information:  

Service providers (IT, hosting, communications)

SMS and email communication providers

WITGW HOUSE affiliated entities

Payment providers (e.g. Stripe, banks)

Legal and regulatory authorities

In case of business transfers

 

6. Partner Marketing (General Partners)

With your explicit consent, we may share your email address with our trusted business partners so they can send you marketing communications.
You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Your data may be transferred outside Romania or the EU. In such cases, we apply GDPR-approved safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

Safeguards implemented for data protection;

Security: Users responsible for password confidentiality;

Security measures implemented, but full internet security cannot be guaranteed.  

 

8. Personal Data Retention:  

Kept for necessary durations based on purposes;

Membership records retained for 10 years. Information from websites retained for two years after closure. Marketing communication data retained until unsubscribed. Upon expiry of retention periods, data is securely destroyed or anonymized in compliance with laws and regulations.
