WHAT IF. UNO NIGHT House Rules
An evening of board games, friendly competition and open conversation — a new way to connect with fellow members.
How Do You Win
-
You win a round by being the first person to play all of your cards;
-
Each round winner remains at the table until their seat is taken;
-
At the end of the event, all round winners will compete in one final round;
-
The final winner will receive a double invitation to all WHAT IF. events until the end of the year.
Turn Order & Table Placement
-
Players are asked to join the table, based on their time of arrival;
-
Each person receives a number that determines when they will be called to a table:
Bell ringing? Check the screen, head to the table, and let’s play!
-
If your assigned round has already passed, you will automatically be placed in the final round.
Stacking Draw Cards
-
Got a +2 or +4? If the next player has one in the same color, they can stack it to pass the pain;
-
Each player can keep stacking Draw 2’s and Draw 4’s as long as they have one.
Wild Shuffle Hands
This card completely resets the game. All players must place their cards into one pile. The dealer then shuffles the full deck and redeals the cards evenly, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
Wild Swap Hands
This one’s a game-changer—literally. You get to choose any player and trade hands with them. It’s also a Wild card, so you can play it anytime on your turn and pick the next color.
Double Plays
If you have two of the same number, you can play them together.
Jump-In Rule
Got the exact same card that was just played? Slam it down even if it’s not your turn.
Reverse
The Reverse card changes the direction of play.
If you don’t have a card you can play,
draw one. If that card matches, you may play it. If not, your turn is over.
Skip Over Skip
Skip can be stacked on Skip.
Each Skip adds 1 skipped player.
Example: 2 Skips stacked = next 2 players lose their turn.
One card left
If you have one card left and you don’t say ‘UNO,’ you draw two cards.
When the Draw Pile Ends,
Reshuffle.
