The art of the samurai in a historical house in Kyoto and learning how to use a katana

I got to visit the house of a former samurai from 200 years ago and dress up in their traditional clothing. An actual samurai demonstrated the use of the katana after telling us a story about the history of the warriors. After a moment of zen meditation, I got to practice some strikes with a wooden katana, and finally, cut with a real katana using the practice strikes I learned.
