This is a private, invitation-only event. No tickets are necessary.​​​

Requirements:

Please bring your own tent, hiking equipment, and water gear.

OPTIONAL SUPPORT

Food arrangements, and car transfers can be provided by WHAT IF for the first 20 members upon request — or feel free to organize your own setup.

 

DAY 1 – Friday, Sept. 19, 2025

Arrival & Camp Setup

• Optional pick up from Subcetate Train Station. Upon arrival, you’re welcome to enjoy a relaxing breakfast and lunch by the river at Pensiunea Retezat before the adventure begins.

• 16:00 Meet & Depart from Pensiunea Retezat to Gura Apelor (15-minute drive)

• Tent setup at campsite

• Evening: Campfire & Optional BBQ dinner under the stars

• Celebration cake to mark four amazing years

• Overnight: Sleep in tents

 

DAY 2 – Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025

Hiking & Mountain Picnic

• Wake-up call

• Optional breakfast at the campsite

• The full-day guided hike will be determined based on the weather

• Optional picnic lunch

• Return hike and drive/ Optional transfer back to campsite

• Evening: Optional Dinner & campfire

• Overnight: Sleep in tents

 

DAY 3 – Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025

Farewell & Relaxation

• Optional Morning breakfast at the campsite

• Optional Water activities - Gura Apelor Lake

• 12:00 – Saying Goodbye

• Optional transfer to Pensiunea Retezat

• Optional late lunch by the river

• Optional transfer to Subcetate Train Station

Outbound Trip (to Retezat):

• Departs: Thursday, Sept. 18th at 21:03 – București Nord

• Arrives: Friday, Sept. 19th at 06:07 – Subcetate, Hunedoara

Return Trip (to Bucharest):

• Departs: Sunday, Sept. 21st at 20:38 – Subcetate, Hunedoara

• Arrives: Monday, Sept. 22nd at 05:32 – București Nord
